Best EVER Teriyaki Steak Marinade. Passed Down From My Family To Yours.
This recipe is near and dear to my heart because it was passed down to me from my grandmother and mother and it reminds me of family! We reserve this one for special occasions since we typically like to have filet mignon. If you enjoy a strong teriyaki flavor allow the meat to marinate overnight. If you like a light to medium flavor you can marinate for 6 hours. As with all steak, the better quality meat you start out with the better the quality the end result will be! Recipe makes approximate 2 ½ cups of marinade.
1 ½- 2 pounds of Steak (we prefer filet mignon of course.. who doesn’t?!)
½ cup Vegetable Oil
1 cup of soy sauce
3-4 T Brown Sugar Splenda
1 T Minced Fresh Ginger Root
2-3 Finely diced or minced Cloves of Fresh Garlic
1 T Worcestershire Sauce
1. Cut steak into the size you like (we cut the fillet into about 1/2" thick slices) and use a meat tenderizer if desired.
2. Combine all remaining ingredients in a large bowl. Add meat and cover with foil. Refrigerate while marinating. If you enjoy a strong teriyaki flavor allow the meat to marinate overnight. If you like a light to medium flavor you can marinate for 6 hours.
3. Grill Meat or cook in a skillet.
Grill Times & Temperatures for Steak

Medium Rare 145°F
Well Done 170°F
TIP: Using a meat tenderizer will make the meat more tender and give it more teriyaki flavor.
