Delicious Homemade Peanut Butter.... In Five Minutes FLAT!

Peanut Butter lovers unite! Making your own nut butter is easy, healthy and tastes SOOO much better than store-bought! A few weeks ago, I ran across a display at Fresh Market where you could actually grind fresh whole peanuts into peanut butter which got me thinking...I can do this at home for a fraction of the cost! An added bonus of making your own is that you can also "custom" create your perfect nut butter using nuts with different seasonings (honey roasted, chipotle, etc). The recipe below is a classic spread and with peanuts and almonds that creates an unbelievable rich and nutty flavor minus all the additives and the sugar! As always, ENJOY!

Ingredients

12 Ounces of Peanuts

3 Ounces of Almonds (optional)

1 tsp of Kosher Salt

1 Tablespoon of Peanut Oil

2 -3 T Splenda to Taste

Directions

Place the peanuts, almonds, salt and oil in your blender or food processor (whichever is more powerful). Blend for 2-3 minutes until peanuts become "crumb like" and balls begin to form. Scrape down the sides of the bowl, mix together and add splenda and blend again. Repeat this process until desired consistency is reached. Store in an airtight container in the fridge.
