Healthy Option? Do you RESEARCH!


I cannot underestimate the importance of learning how to read food labels and prepping your own food!! I was short on time today and was forced to grab a southwest GRILLED chicken salad from my preferred fast food chicken restaurant. I thought I was opting for a healthier option on the menu but I am glad I read the label.....The salad came with creamy salsa dressing (31g of fat,) tortilla strips (4g of fat) and chili lime pepitas (7g of fat). If I added up the TOPPINGS ALONE I would be looking at a total of 42g of fat !! And for comparison, a Big Mac from McDonald's has 33g of fat. This is why prepping your food is essential to being successful! EVOLVE AND EDUCATE YOURSELF!!
