Just because you're not sick doesn't mean you're healthy. Give the gift of health and sh
When most people are asked the question “what are you thankful for?” the most common responses are: family, time with loved ones, health or perhaps a job. Health can be a funny subject though. Most people don’t actively think about their health or take an honest assessment until their health is threatened or it's too late. I pray that you have never had to experience that moment where you learn devastating news about the state of your health or receive a poor prognosis. But the truth is many of us do. If you have not had any personal experience with this then all you have to do is spend some time talking with someone who has lost their health and the precious time they are able to share on this earth with those they love. The irony here is that most medical aliments are self induced or exacerbated by our nutrition (or the lack of it!) and could have been prevented!! That's why they say hindsight is 20/20.
So this holiday season take the time to acknowledge your health, educate yourself and take an honest look at how the quality of your health affects every aspect (and relationship) of your life. Have that talk with someone close to you and be their cheerleader to encourage them to take the first step on a life-long journey to better health. I guarantee you that being someone’s inspiration to take control of his or her health is the most priceless and life altering you can give. There are few other things in this world that are worth investing your time, effort and money in than our health. So what are you waiting for?
