Carrot Cake Protein Smoothie
Looking for creative ways to enjoy those fall flavors without the holiday weight gain that comes along with it?! I am too! The good news is that I do all the experimenting so all your have to do is enjoy my favorite version of each recipe. This weeks creation was a carrot protein shake featuring butter extract, splenda brown sugar and of course walnuts on top. ENJOY!
1 Scoop of Whey Vanilla Protein Powder
½ Cup 100% Carrot Juice (check the sugar – I used Bolthouse Farm Brand!)
3 TB Cottage Cheese
1 TB Brown Sugar Splenda – Packed
¼ tsp Pumpkin Pie Spice
¼ tsp Cinnamon
1/8 tsp Butter Extract (just a few drops)
4-5 ice cubes
Optional: Walnuts for Garnish
1. Combine all ingredients in a blender.
2. Blend on high for one minute. Add additional extract for flavoring if desired or carrot juice if needed to thin the shake! ENJOY!
