"Buzz Words" on Food Packaging that Sabotage Your Progress.

Before you toss that box of healthy cereal, protein granola bars or low fat protein yogurt in your shopping cart just because it says "protein" "healthy" or "antioxidants" on it, pause and read the entire nutritional label. Look for the amount and type carbs (is it all sugar) & protein (is it soy or good protein). New research published in the Journal of the marketing research says that when people who are concerned about their body weight saw terms like healthy, protein or low fat on a packaged food, they not only consumed more of the product, they often chose it over healthier options just because of the packaging.
